THE INTERNET IDEA GRAVEYARD
Good headline.
Bad reality?
The Idea Graveyard is where we bring confident internet claims back to a real use case. A catchy promise may still be useful. It may simply need more conditions, more effort, or a different audience than the headline admits.
NOT A PUNISHMENT
A sceptical question is not a verdict.
An idea can be open, in review, exhuming, or buried. Those are editorial statuses—not scores, recommendations, or permanent judgments. A record is only published after the method and relevant conditions are visible.
Open
The claim is interesting, but the use case or test conditions are not yet clear enough.
Exhuming
The team is determining whether a popular promise holds up under a realistic scope.
Buried
A documented record may show that a claim is too broad, too costly, too fragile, or a poor fit for the stated use.
THE HEADLINE IS NOT THE BUSINESS MODEL
We are interested in the work behind the promise.
Automation claims, “passive” side-hustle stories, magic productivity tools, and miracle upgrades often conceal setup, maintenance, acquisition, review, or human judgment. Those conditions deserve to be part of the conversation.

EXHUME A CLAIM
Which idea deserves a less flattering question?
Send the claim, where you encountered it, who it is supposed to help, and what has made you sceptical. Good submissions give us something practical to test.
